For instance, if it's raining outside, and you want to let some of that stale air out of the vehicle, and let some fresh air come in but not get wet, these are going to keep the window covered enough that it'll let air out, but water can't get inside. It's also going to come in handy on those rainy days where it may be hot, but you know it's going to rain later on where we can leave our window cracked like we have here so we won't have all that heat building up inside whenever we go to get in our car later. Each one of our deflectors is going to be made out of a three millimeter thick acrylic construction, so they're going to be extremely flexible but also very durable and hold up over time. more

WeatherTech Side Window Air Deflectors Installation - 2006 Chevrolet Colorado

Today on our 2006 Chevy Colorado we'll be installing the WeatherTech Side Window Air Deflector, part number WT70339. This is a two-piece kit, one for the driver's side and one for the passenger side door. Before we attempt to install the new wind deflector we're going to go ahead and clean around the edge of the window and trim. Then we'll allow it to dry. Once we have the windows cleaned up and we've allowed it to dry we're going to go ahead and put the window down a little bit so we can gain access to the window channel. Then, starting at our front edge we'll set the window visor in place, putting the front edge inside the channel. Once we get the front edge hooked we're going to bow it out in the center to allow the rear edge into the channel. Then we'll start working it front to back all the way into the channel and into position. Once we have the deflector into position we'll then go ahead and operate the window up and down to seat it in place. more
